Industrial Zone

The goal of creating an Industrial Zone is

To Create a conducive environment for development industries with priority for the following sectors:

    1. Automobile and auto ancillary
    2. Hi‐tech and electronics
    3. General manufacturing
    4. Heavy engineering
    5. Metals and metallurgical products
    6. Agro/food processing
    7. Pharma and Biotech
    • To provide for retail and convenience uses supporting industrial establishments
    • To minimize the nuisance caused by industrial activities to adjacent non‐industrial uses

The following use premises will be permitted

  • Warehouse or godown and place to store things
    Firehouse
  • Cafeteria, food court, and restaurants
  • Industrial convenience store
  • Retail establishments supporting industrial zone
  • Bank for solid waste separation

The Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India, says that businesses in the orange and green categories will be allowed. The DSIRDA’s competent committee will need to give special permission for sectors in the red category or industries that don’t fit into any of the categories.

Special Regulations For Industrial Development

There should be one tree for every 6 square meters of territory within this buffer. The trees should have a calliper of at least 6 inches. This buffer will take the place of the minimum set-back criteria for any boundaries of the plot that are next to non-industrial uses.
